Welcome to SecureVault Docs ("SVD", "we", "us"). By using our website, apps, or services, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use SVD.

1) Who can use SVD

• You must be old enough to form a contract in your region.
• You are responsible for your account and keeping your password safe.
• If you use SVD for a company, you confirm you have authority to do so.

2) Your content & your rights

• You own your documents and data.
• You give us a limited license to store, process, protect, display, and share your content only as needed to run the service you request (e.g., uploads, OCR, search, sharing, backup, support).
• You promise you have the right to upload and share any content you add.

3) Acceptable use

• No illegal content or activity.
• No malware, spam, harassment, or attempts to break security.
• Respect others' rights (privacy, IP, and data protection laws).

4) Plans, trials, and billing

• Pricing is shown in USD; usage caps are enforced as described at checkout.
• Trials: free for a limited time with limited usage; we may end trials at any time.
• Payments and invoices are handled by our payment partner (Stripe).
• You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel according to our Billing page.

5) Service changes

• We may add or remove features, change limits, or stop the service.
• We'll try to give notice for major changes that affect you.

6) Security

• We use industry security controls to protect your data.
• You must keep your login secure and tell us if you suspect account misuse.

7) Disclaimers

• SVD is provided "as is" and "as available."
• We don't promise the service will be error-free or always available, and we are not responsible for losses caused by outages or third-party providers.

8) Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, SVD and our team are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim.

9) Ending your use

You can stop using SVD any time. We may suspend or end access if you break these Terms or create risk for others. We may keep copies of logs for security, legal, or backup reasons as allowed by law.

10) Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. We'll post a new date above and, for major changes, try to notify you. If you keep using SVD after changes, you accept the new Terms.
